Fit India School Week

November 2019

For any society or nation to progress, it is important that their citizens are physically and mentally fit. The challenges of the modern-day life have brought along with them the need to be more physically proactive and fit.

On 29 Aug 2019, the Honourable Prime Minister launched nation-wide ‘Fit India Movement’ aimed at encouraging people to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives. CBSE has decided that each year a total of 06 working days during the THIRD and FOURTH week of November will be celebrated as ‘Fit India School Week’ in all its affiliated schools.

Fit children are able to handle day-to-day physical and emotional challenges better. This movement endeavours to alter their behaviour from ‘Passive Screen time’ to ‘Active Field time’ and the aim of the initiative is to develop Sports Quotient among all the students to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Taking this mission forward, the school organised various activities such as yoga, free-hands exercises, aerobics, kho-kho etc. from 21 Nov 2019 to 29 Nov 2019.
