Rules of The School

Students of St. Anselm's Pink City School should stand out as smart, confident disciplined, cultured and well spoken individuals. The school expects the students to imbibe discipline as a second nature.
  1. The diary should be brought to the school every day. even on examination days.
  2. Students should arrive at School at least 5 minutes before the 1st bell rings. Students arriving late will not be permitted inside the school premises.
  3. Students who do not follow the school rules despite 3 written warnings will be issued a grey card. The issue of3 grey cards will make the students liable for expulsion from school.
  4. All those who come late to the school should get their diary signed by the Principal before their entrance into the classes. Those who are repeatedly reporting late in school will be sent back home.
  5. No leave of absence is granted except in written application from parent/guardian and that too only for serious reason.
  6. If a student is absent due to sickness, the Principal must be informed at once. When a student who has been absent for any reason when returns to the school he/she must bring the reason duly entered on the leave record page of the diary and signed by the parent or guardian; otherwise the student will be refused admission.
  7. Student not returning punctually to the school after the holidays are liable to have their names struck off the roll.
  8. Whosoever misses the first period of the first or second session will not be admitted to class until he/she has a written note from the parent.
  9. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience or conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a student. Students are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside school. Hence misconduct in public streets and conveyance is liable to incur dismissal.
  10. All kinds of damage done to the School premises have to be compensated.
  11. All should be particularly careful not to throw paper, waste and polythene bag etc. anywhere in the school premises. They should use the baskets and bins specially provided for this purpose.
  12. Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is not allowed.
  13. Students are expected to speak English in the school premises.
  14. During the break the students are not allowed to enter the class rooms without permission.
  15. Personal cleanliness and hygiene are expected from all.
  16. At the first bell, i.e. five minutes before the commencement of meetings, all must take their allotted places for prayers after which all go in silence to their respective classrooms.
  17. During the absence of the teacher, the monitor assumes the responsibility for the order and discipline of the class.
  18. Students misbehaving in school bus will be struck off the bus list forthwith.
  19. Any breach of discipline and above all discourtesy and disrespect to teacher in any way will be taken seriously and students responsible for such misbehavior will be summarily dismissed.
  20. The school is not responsible for jewellery, money, clothes etc. Students must look after their own things. It is not advisable for them to bring valuable articles to school.
  21. Presents, gifts to teachers or other demonstration in their honor require prior sanction of the Principal.
  22. The engagement of private tutors from the school staff is not permitted.
  23. Students must take part in school co-curricular activities, dramatics, display, excursion etc.
  24. Only valid driving license holders will be allowed to come to school on two wheelers and cycles should be kept locked at the stands.
  25. While moving in the corridors, or using staircase, students should walk in a line and keep to their left. Running in the corridors, pushing other children etc. will not be tolerated.
  26. Students of Anselm's School must show respect to all elders and should love younger students. They should stand when any visitor or teacher talks to them.
  27. Crackers or sharp objects etc. in the school premises is strictly forbidden. Non-compliance of these instructions can lead to strict disciplinary action.
  28. They should be truthful always.
  29. They should not waste their time in idle gossip.
  30. They should take pride in wearing their school uniform, ID. Card and must wear even during the P.T.A. meeting.
  31. It is compulsory for the student to complete 90% of the attendance in the year to name him/her eligible to appear for the final examination
  32. As per The Supreme Court Judgement, mobile phones are strictly forbidden in the school. Any breach of this rule will invite a fine of Rs. 1000/-
  33. Parents are expected to co-operate with the staff in enforcing regularity and discipline by seeing that their children prepare their lessons and do their home work as shown in their diaries and by taking an active and helpful interest in the activities of the school.
  34. Parents and guardians are not allowed to see the students or interview their teachers during school hours without the sanction of the Principal.
  35. Students whose parents/guardians do not co-operate with the school in maintaining discipline or do anything which is injurious to the moral tone and good name of the school or staff are liable to dismissal from the school without notice.
  36. If anyone intends to discontinue his/her studies in this school or after the X Board Examination and wants to join any other school, needs to apply for the Transfer Certificate before 31st March of the year. Or else they will be required to deposit the 1st Quarter fees regardless of the fact that they attended the further classes or not.
  37. Parents and guardians will appreciate that absence during the term is not in the best interest of the student so they are requested not to apply for leave, only under unavoidable circumstances leave can be granted to the student on the following grounds.
    i.In case of serious illness or death of a close relative.
    ii.To attend the marriage ceremony of his/her real brother, sister or uncle (Father's and Mother's Brothers/Sisters).
  38. The ward whose parents, avoid meeting the authorities, when advised to do so, may not be allowed to attend the classes.
  39. Parents are requested to personally see off and receive their wards at bus stops (for classes Nursery to V)
  40. Children proceeding on excursion, visits, tours, picnics etc. will be brought and picked from the school by the parents only.
  41. Parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars before making enquiries on the phone.
  42. Even if the students are admitted later during the term, fees for the whole academic session will be charged.
  43. Parents and guardians are requested to read and explain the school rules to their wards.
  44. Parents of Nursery to class I students should get the report card signed and return it to the school within three days. If the report card is lost, replacement will be made after payment of Rs. 100/-.
